My Experience

I started out as a personal finance blogger documenting my journey
to paying off $100,000 in student loan debt, saving enough money
to quit my corporate project management job, and
starting my own business.

Since 2016, I’ve written hundreds of articles, produced
a Plutus Award winning podcast, and developed sizeable
social media followings for my brands.

Now, I am a freelance writer who translates complex financial
and scientific topics into interesting, digestible, and actionable
articles for casual readers.

Client Testimonials

Rebecca was a fantastic find for us at StudyFinds. She helped us with the building blocks for a new site we plan to launch and her writing was as good as advertised, if not better.

Her ability to explain complex financial topics in simple terms using a sound blend of SEO strategies was everything we could have asked for and more. Rebecca also demonstrated impressive communication during our project.

She provided an excellent organized plan with updates from start to finish that made the entire process quite easy. We absolutely intend to hire Rebecca for future projects and absolutely recommend her to others.

Rebecca is very well-rounded, has awesome communication skills, and had lots of ambition. Rebecca has written many articles for our site The Savvy Couple and they always come back top-notch. She exceeds expectations and writes extremely well while also optimizing content for SEO.

She was a super quick learner and has helped us create so many awesome systems within our business that save us time and money.

We LOVE working with Rebecca and having her as part of our team. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

About Me

I’m more than just a freelance writer. I’m a storyteller at heart, sharing the stories of how seeds become food, the stories at the heart of small businesses and local economies, the stories of characters in faraway lands, and the stories of the earth we live on.

I live in a cabin that I built with my husband on our six-acre permaculture farm in central North Carolina. I spend the cool mornings with my hands in the dirt, listening to birdsong, coaxing life from seeds, and harvesting fresh vegetables.

My afternoons are typically spent behind the counter in the local coffee shop that houses my bookstore; serving drinks, recommending reads, and working on my laptop during quiet moments. When I’m at my keyboard, I’m usually writing for freelance clients, managing marketing for local small businesses, or working on the next chapter of my debut novel.

Though my work often feels like play, I am lucky to travel frequently with my husband. I’m also fond of exploring locally through hiking, paddling, playing disc golf, and photographing landscapes.

I find evenings are best for adventures of the mind, like reading a good fantasy book, playing a board game with friends, or weaving a story in a D&D campaign.

I’m writing the story of my life one day, and one page, at a time.
